Alice’s Diner Campaign - Logo, Signage, Billboard, Apparel, and 2-Side Menu Redesign

Alice’s Diner in Canonsburg, PA is a local hometown diner known for their great prices and fantastic homestyle food. One thing they lacked however, was clear branding.

(The following write-up explains each piece in a story way. The client is fictional.)

The first challenge that was faced was creation of a new logo for the diner, something that would work great on a physical sign, a billboard, and over the web. The new logo is polished, incorporating classic colors, and has an interesting allusion to the area of Canonsburg in shooting a burger out of a canon.  Talking with the client, it was decided that “Alice’s Restaurant” would be changed to “Alice’s Diner” to be more fitting with the hours of operation, and to allow better dimensions of the logo.

After creation of the logo, new signage was created for both the sidewalk outside of the diner and a sign to hang near the front door.

Following the signage, new apparel was created, and a new menu was established, which better fit the new design language and color scheme.

A billboard design was then created, to be placed on I-79 in the Canonsburg area for people to view while driving.

I loved creating this campaign. This was one the first times I felt happy with what I created, and the design language of the whole campaign flows incredibly well. I am ESPECIALLY happy with the colors chosen; It reminds me of 80s and 90s diner interior styling.

The Adobe Suite was used in creating this campaign including Adobe Illustrator and InDesign. Envato Elements was used in creating the mockups for the assets.
